| "Malaria is the single largest disease in Africa and a primary cause of poverty. Every day 3,000 children die from malaria. Every year there are 500 million cases among children and adults."

| My cousin Jimmy was born with full body Cerebral Palsy which basically doomed him to never be able live a normal life. He is confined to a walker and wheel chair and can barely speak a cohesive sentence. People think he's mentally retarded with his demeanor but Ive never seen anyone love the Lord as hard as Jimmy. My cousin just published a literary book called "Miracle of the wine" which are full of his poems that reflect on the book of Psalm. Jimmy always has served as a clear example to me of how to have a heavenly mindset and place your treasures in heaven and not in this world. When I talk to Jimmy about Jesus, I can't help but see a man looking towards eternity. He doesn't care about his physical condition because all he wants his Jesus. Here are a few of his poems that i loved especially in his book:
I Know You're Here With Me (Psalm 3)
You have done miraculous things all my life. You have brought me out of the brink of disaster. You have come to bring me home every day. You have shown the right path each and every way. So, I know You're here with me.
You have revealed Your might hand in my world. You have released the truth in a loving matter. You have challenged me to do things right. You have trusted me to make things better. So, I know You're here with me.
I'm unafraid to face new challenges. I'm unafraid to love a stranger. I'm unafraid to admit that I'm wrong, And I'm unafraid to make amends, Because I know You're here with me.
THE SEEKER (Psalm 49)
Searching for me through my tears, You wiped the slate and You gave me new life. As you heard my cries and my strife, You opened up and You quickly appeared.
Searching for me through my fears, You told me not to worry, like a friend. As you talked to me- so that I could ascend, You told me to look forward, not arrears.
Searching for me through the years, You commanded me to write a beautiful verse. As you handed me my voice, of course, You gave me the strength and You led the cheers.
Searching for me through my tears, My heart is singing with Your joyful spirit. When You carry me home from the earthly pit, You will find me dancing without any fears.

| I must confess. I don't remember many sermons but the ones that I do remember has a lot to do with certain phrases or verses convicting the crazies out of me. This one got to me today at sunday service:
" You can see evidences of grace in your life when you SHOW grace toward others..."
WOW! simple concept but took my breath away!

| Wise words from my republican mom:
" God placed Obama as president because He wants him there. Rather than bash on him and how he doesn't deserve the nobel or how he's not doing anything right these days, PRAY for him! Regardless if youre democratic or republican, Pray for him. If youre republican, you should be praying for him even more!"
